Project Engineer – 12-month contract – Tipperary

Our Partner in the Tipperary area develops and supplies the active ingredients and final formulated product for a range of innovative medicines at its manufacturing and R&D facilities. The plant, which has been operating in Tipperary for over 40 years, exports to over 25 countries around the world with primary markets being Europe, USA and Japan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • As the Project Engineer, you will be a key player in the delivery of projects and will be responsible for developing and executing project plans in accordance with established schedule, cost and performance standards.
  • The Project Engineer will manage design, construction, commissioning and qualification, schedule and cost along with outside contractors, operations personnel and suppliers.
  • You will ensure that there are a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of the capital/expense project.
  • As the Project Engineer, you will be required to track and report progress against project deliverables.

Requirements:
  • As the Project Engineer, you will be qualified to degree level in Engineering and will have a strong background within the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical industries.
  • The Project Engineer will have strong experience of working within an ATEX environment and gained a good knowledge of a project life cycle from concept through to qualification.
  • You will have gained a good working knowledge of engineering project management tools, engineering technical skills and financial management skills and be able to work within budgets.
  • As the Project Engineer you will strong communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in project management.
