Purpose of Job                
As a Project Manager, you will be overseeing and delivering projects, from providing input during the commercial process, coordinating preparations and mobilization of resources, through to the safely, on-time and within budget completion of the project life cycle. You will work closely with senior management colleagues, external contractors and customers alike, whereby you are directly responsible for all aspects of project execution and completion as per internal and external safety and quality standards.

An international organization with over a hundred engineers, a large service team throughout Europe, multiple local offices, a large network of sales representatives and partner distributors, and biomass energy projects all over the world.

One of the leading suppliers of turn-key biogas plants. They have designed and constructed numerous anaerobic digestion (AD) plants all over Europe. They use equipment and technology of the highest quality which results in the most efficient anaerobic digestion plants for customers. They also work with a sister company who are biogas upgrading specialist for the supply of biogas upgrading systems and offers their well-proven biogas upgrading systems from 40 Nm3/hr to upgrade biogas to a methane-rich product gas, also known as biomethane or green gas.

The company also supplies biomass- and waste-fired combined heat and power plants from 1 MWt to 50 MWt boiler capacity and up to 12 MWe. Biomass boilers and waste boilers greater than 25 MWt and greater than 6 MWe are built in two combustion lines in combination with one larger efficient steam turbine. This allows cost effective road transport and reducing the height of the building envelope. This modular approach also provides greater installation flexibility for our clients.

Main Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Dutch and English
• Willing to travel and/or work abroad for short periods of time (mobilisation/ demobilisation of project)
• Attend internal company meetings, provide all relevant and necessary input and actively participate in scheduled company meetings
• Implement and promote company procedures on all assigned projects
• Liaise with supporting departments and share relevant project data
• Lead the dedicated project team
• Participate and/or chair in organized safety meetings, instructions and trainings
• Discuss progress, planning and requirements with customer and subcontractors
• Ensure correct preparation of project related documents
• Set up and manage project planning and schedule
• Responsible for correct and safe project execution, during all phases of the project, in accordance with client requirements and budgets
• Monitor and manage potential contract variations

Typical Experience/Qualifications

Engineering degree or similar
You will need an engineering background
You will need to have good technical understanding from a similar background in renewable energy – Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion or Biomass experience would be ideal
Experience delivering projects from start to finish in similar field
Dutch and English speaking (French or German would be a bonus)
