Job Title: Project Manager
Length: 12 month contract initially - likely extensions 
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Vienna, Austria

Are you an experienced Project Manager within the Pharmaceutical industry looking for your next project?

If so, Quanta are working with a leading international pharmaceutical company who seek a Project Manager to work on their €25M new building extension to accommodate a new central wash space, additional GMP gowning and a new production line to formulate and make a chewable tablet - site based in the beautiful city of Vienna.

Major/Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop project plans and successfully execute them according to established schedule, cost and performance standards.
  • Manage design, construction, commissioning and qualification, schedule and cost in collaboration with other project team members, operations personnel, outside contractors and suppliers.
  • Track and report progress as required against project deliverables
  • Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of capital projects
  • Ensure that LEAN mindset and methodologies such as Target Value Delivery, Last Planner and Offsite Construction are embedded within project teams
Qualifications:
  • Must have as a minimum a 3rd level Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical
  • English is a requirement , German language an a significant  advantage and highly preferred

Skills and Knowledge:
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in project management of capital projects in the Pharma industry including significant experience managing manufacturing type pharma projects
  • Understanding of construction management / field execution together with ensuring good safety set up in field.
  • Understands the typical project life cycle from concept through to qualification and has proven experience in this area.
  • Proven knowledge, appreciation and experience of working in strongly regulated GMP environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the customer/client relationship involved in project management.
  • Excellent communication /presentation skills.
  • Superior organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated performance in building and managing multi-functional teams.
  • Experience in lean mindsets and methodologies  would be an advantage.
