Quality Manager - Large Construction Project - 12 month contract in Germany

We are currently working with a large critical asset construction company that is looking for a Quality Manager to help build a new logistics center.

The construction site is located in Northern Germany and all applicants must be able to speak fluent German and English.

Duties / Deliverables for the role:
  • To look after the overall management on quality, setting the standards on quality, campaigns, processes on site. To also be the point of contact for all of the supply chain, documentation, drawings, physical works out on site
  • Assisting in maintenance of the company management system that should remain compliant with ISO 9001, 14001,OHSAS 18001 and other standards to which the company subscribes and should promote the company visions and values
  • Must know the DIN standard, local standards
  • German & English speaking, supply chain are German so it is important that the Quality Manager can read German documentation
  • The site uses SnagR and Aconex document management system, so experience in this is required
  • Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance to the company management systems and any customer requirements.
  • Undertake training of staff and suppliers on company best practice.
  • Manage the snagging process in conjunction with the Software Vendor and delivery Teams.
  • Produce local / project reports and assist in the collation of monthly department Board Report for Q&S department.
  • Assist with the pre-qualification process for new subcontractors.
  • Manage the O&M development and delivery (This is outsourced, so the management of the Vendor only)
