Quality Manager - Offshore Wind

Quality Manager – Leading Offshore Wind Utility major project pipeline – Permanent

Quanta are currently supporting a leading utility within the offshore wind market to identify a suitable Quality Manager whose first project will be one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms with in excess of 1GW capacity to power over 1 million homes.

With an agile working approach to include remote working (in normal circumstances, in the current climate that is a given) and an extensive benefits package including on site Gym with an extensive project pipeline to boast they possess a market leading reputation.

As the Quality Manager you must be able to demonstrate experience of delivering relevant services to major infrastructure projects with at least one major project in a leading Quality role within your portfolio of experience. Wind Energy experience would be a natural advantage however isn’t essential if you can demonstrate extensive Quality Management experience including implementing Quality Management Systems based on ISO9001-20015.

Responsibilities you can expect are:

• Implementation of a Quality Management System based on ISO9001-20015
• During execution phased of projects delivery of the quality contract programme across all packages of work as Project QA Manager
• Budget responsibility of circa £7 million as well as works co-ordination for 4 Quality Engineers and up to 18 inspectors
• Ensuring a full auditable trail for sub-contracted works and services, non-compliance rectified and fit for purpose plant is delivered on a multi-billion pound budget

Experience summary:

Professional registration with a chartered quality institute to demonstrate competence and experience coupled with an Engineering degree

Budget formulation and resource planning experience

Negotiation of and writing required specifications with major contractors as well as framework contract negotiation experience with relevant third parties

Inspection qualifications and or experience within welding and coatings would be advantageous

Root cause analysis and auditing experience to identify and resolve issues including serial defects
