Senior Construction Manager – Pharmaceuticals – 12 Months Contract – Copenhagen

Our client, a global CDMO in pharmaceutical manufacturing, is recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming Nordic location, this on a contractual basis, and will involve significantly growing the sites capacity for the manufacture of Biologics.

As the Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of construction activities on a complex drug manufacturing extension project.

Senior Construction Manager Responsibilities:
  • Continuously follow-up on schedules form contractor and/or managing contractor in collaboration with Project Service
  • Continuously follow-up on finances in collaboration with Project Service
  • Earned value calculations based on schedules (progress) and economics
  • Works closely with CM from EPCM to develop construction team and to build a high performing team.
  • Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the field execution of project deliverables and that appropriate stage gate controls are in place for all works.
  • Attends field walk downs as client CM Representative to ensure that appropriate standards are being met with installations.
  • Drive initiatives such as Quality Audit Metrics, Right First Time, Modular Construction approach.
 About you:
  • 10 years+ of relevant experience in capital projects preferably in Pharm/Bio Pharm.
  • Knowledge of Danish and international legislation
  • Proven level of experience in delivering significant capital projects within the pharmaceutical sector > 300/400MM USD.
  • Understands the typical project life cycle from concept through to qualification and has proven experience in this area.
