Senior Contracts Manager - Hydrogen - North East England

Our client is a global leader in developing, engineering, building, and owning some of the largest industrial projects around the World. With a portfolio of Mega-projects around the globe there is no better time to join this company – and they are looking for an Senior Contracts Manager to join their North East England location.


Responsibilities: 
  • Drafting market enquiries using pro-forma contract models for a wide range of major contracts including full EPC scope delivery.
  • Deep understanding of contracts commercial models application (Unit rates, reimbursable and Lump Sum) and the contract administration for managing and understanding of contract terms (including tailored models) for contractual intent and application
  • Negotiation and award of contracts to ensure alignment on technical and commercial evaluation for execution of contracts.
  • Quantity Surveying understanding for the application of remeasure contracts and monthly payment approvals against progress, and evaluation of progress payments for reimbursable and Lump Sum services.
  • Thorough experience in Change Management and documenting contractual arguments/commercial recovery for defence in prolongation, progress delays, resourcing issues which impact project delivery.
  • Claims management including documenting counter claims, defending claims and communicating defence to protect project results against cost and schedule.
 
Requirements: 
  • MRICS and or CIPS
  • Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Mechanical / Civil) or QS degree is advantageous.
  • Master of Business Administration is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience working in an EPC / Oil and Gas company including FIDC / QS experience and understanding.
  • Experience in contracts and contractual language.
  • Excellent oral and written English proficiency is a must. Second language is advantageous.
