Senior LV Electrical Design Engineer - Offshore Wind Divison of an Engineering Consultancy – 2 Month Contract 

Our client who is an Offshore Wind division of an engineering consultancy are looking for a Senior LV Electrical Design Engineer to join their team for a 2 months contract, with the opportunity to extend.  This role will be working on a remote basis. 

Project: LV Design works related to Transition Piece electrical components for a major European offshore wind farm currently in Detailed Design phase

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Management of sub-contractor the client have appointed to complete the LV Design works for the TPs.
  • Input into the design works including hands-on LV design for cable sizing calculations, routing, ducting, power supply to TPs, davit crane electrics, lights within TPs, layout of electrics within TPs etc.
  • Working with CAD Technicians in house to bring these designs to fruition
  • Higher split on time spent doing subcontractor management/liaison vs. hands-on design
Requirements:
  • Offshore Wind Electrical Design Engineering experience
  • Proven track record coordinating and managing subcontractors
