Senior Project Controller, Quantity Surveying - Life Sciences - Denmark - 12-Months Contract

Our client specialises in delivering pharma engineering solutions to the Danish pharmaceutical market. Contributing to over 1,300 engineering projects for their customers every year, they are experts in planning and establishing new pharma facilities, including upgrading, expanding, and supporting existing operations. As their impressive portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a talented Senior Project Controller to support the success of their latest large scale capital investment project.


As a Senior Project Controller, you'll be working with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team where your daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Lead all financials issues in a holistic perspective and related activities in single projects or portfolio of projects. Ensure correct financial management and reporting to establish best possible foundation for profitable and lean project execution.
  • Strong Quantity Surveyor experienced with construction projects, and knows what it means to build a facility – ideally in pharma. Work closely with construction manager.
  • Ensure that activities are performed in accordance with project controls procedures. Ensure that relevant project members are familiar with the methods and that use of these is clearly communicated to project organisation e.g. Project Performance Report, plan and monitor cashflow, follow up on milestones, bonus/penalty, risk, forecast of project staffing and procurement items, Earned Value Management, Profit & Loss calculation.
  • By your strong personal and professional skills, you will constructively and proactively challenge, push back and take ownership on delivering accurate reports.
  • You support improvement and developments of our processes and tools/systems

Requirements:
  • Have experience as Cost Engineer, Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Senior Cost Controller, Project Controls Manager.
  • Have an educational background (Bachelor) within Economics or as technical engineer.
  • Have +10 years of experience within Project Controls, ideally from the pharmaceutical, biotech, food or chemical industry
  • It is key that you have in-depth experience of Cost controlling procedures, forecasting and monthly reporting to customers
  • Have knowledge within Project Planning, Project Risk Management, Tender / Contract Management
  • Possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Have leadership skills facilitating a high-performing project controls team.
  • Have a nature of leading through others, and gain natural respect
  • Are able to create structure and handle several projects/tasks simultaneously
