Site Manager/Data Centre Manager

Reports to (position/title) - VP Operations

Seize the opportunity to work with our partner who are a leading company in Nordic Data Centres who are a leader in Nordic sustainable infrastructure.

What Do They Need?
  • As a Site Manager you will be responsible for management and operation of Data Centre including budgeting, forecasts, management, revenues, external suppliers and human resources.
  • You must be able to balance priorities for security, availability, and cost control.
  • Responsible for managing the data centre in accordance with their management system (IMS), including planning and documentation of all activities.
  • Ability to work in a structured and documented way, and proactively assess and reduce risk.
  • Organisational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, working with teams with high competence in complex technical infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and work effectively under high stress conditions, tight deadlines, be independent and lead a collaborative group-oriented environment with the help of sound judgement in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external relations, from customers to the on-site team.
  • Language skills, excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
What’s Your Background?
  • Extensive experience in the data centre industry
  • Experience working within the framework of defined management systems with regard to quality and business continuity.
  • A background in handling contracts with customers (incl. Service level agreements) and suppliers, including financial reporting, forecasts, and follow-up.
  • General technical knowledge of data centre construction and operation, including requirements for critical infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of working safely in a complex infrastructure facility and ability to identify and correct uncertain conditions and/or activities.
  • Background of dealing within Norwegian/Nordic compliance of building regulations and facilities.
What Else?
  • Minimum 10 years general experience within Data Centre management is preferred.
  • Management and project experience in a critical facility environment.
  • CDCMP (Certified Data Centre Manager)
  • Work knowledge and experience with computer software related to common business applications such as MS Office.
  • General knowledge of software systems related to Data Centre operation and infrastructure management.
