New long term contract opportunity focusing on our client's enterprise backup, storage and virtualization infrastructure. You duties will include monitoring, configuring and troubleshooting and we're after someone that has prior experience with the likes of DELL EMC, HPE, Netapp, Cisco, VMware or Hyper-V, Veeam or Veritas etc. This role will onboard remotely and stay remote during COVID, but we need someone that can eventually live and work in Valencia, Spain so EU candidates are preferred. Single stage Teams interviews are happening in March.
Your duties will include:
- Administer Storage, Backup and Virtualization Infrastructure systems
- Provide technical support
- Support virtualization common operations
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of virtualization, storage and backup services
- Coordinate the replacement of failed Backup, Storage & SAN components, and service restoration
- Provide on-call rotation-based support outside of business hours
- Perform other duties when required
You will have experience with:
- Administering and troubleshooting storage arrays (HPE 3PAR, DELL Compellent, Netapp)
- Storage technologies (Fabric switches, VSANs, WWPNs, NPIV, multi-pathing, Fiber channel, iSCSI, etc.)
- Storage replication technologies.
- Aadministering fiber channel fabrics (Cisco MDS and Brocade)
- VMware 6.x infrastructure including ESXi, vCenter, and Horizon View
- Microsoft Hyper-V and SCVMM is a plus
- Enterprise Backup systems (i.e., EMC Avamar, EMC Data Domain and EMC ECS)
- Experience in shell scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Ansible…)
