Supply Chain - Materials Requirement Planning - Global Pharmaceutical Company - County Cork - 11 month contract

One of our global Pharmaceutical clients is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join their team close to the picturesque and historical city of Cork. The site is renowned for manufacturing excellence and plays a vital role in the company's large-scale biotech operations worldwide. 

The site has received over $300 million investment over recent years in order to meet the demand for the company’s innovative products and will continue to evolve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • The Supply Chain Planner/Buyer will manage the Shipments and Planning Process, ensuring customer needs are met, through utilization of IPT capacity. The role will ensure the materials requirements for the capacity plan are available, ensuring production needs are met.
  • The role will also be responsible for longer term forecast analysis and review to identify and mitigate possible capacity / material issues through utilization of rough-cut capacity planning.
  • Data management of the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
Requirements:
  • At least five years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment with experience in a buyer/planner role in an operations environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with aligning inventory with plant objectives and targets to ensure inventory is optimised.
