Our client, a global company specialising in the supply of mechanical and electrical engineering services to the data centre industry, have a huge opportunity for a Resident Engineer to develop their career. This is a hybrid working position, available either within our client’s London or Bicester office.

Technical Director Responsibilities:
- Be a key player in a new part of the business promoting the four pillars of Decarbonisation, Decentralisation, Digitalisation and Demand reduction of energy, water and waste in buildings, campuses and cities.
- Lead technical and commercial initiatives for the development of sustainable infrastructure solutions to compliment the client’s core building services design capabilities
- Develop new links and maintain liaison other Engie Group Business Units to promote complimentary sustainable infrastructure solutions for our combined client base. In particular identify and create working relationships with the relevant people to promote mutual support in winning new work.
- Work with the Central Engineering and R&D teams to assist with incorporating new technologies and tools into the Energy Transition market
- Identify new fuels and technologies coming to market of interest to Energy Transition and present these to the R&D team for future investigation and analysis
- BSc/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline such as mechanical, electrical or process engineering
- MCIBSE/MIEE or HND/HNC + appropriate experience or equivalent
- Chartered Engineering status
- Experience in the area of building / campus scale services as well as small scale power generation.
- Experience with local infrastructures including microgrids, district heating and cooling schemes, energy centres and thermal or electrical storage
- Experience of working in different industrial sectors such as manufacturing, petrochemical, Life Sciences, Data Centres, etc.
- Experience of having managed projects abroad (desirable)
