Web Developer (Java)

New long term contract opportunity for a Web Developer experienced in Java, Sencha ExtJS and other tools. This will be an initial 6 month contract with long term potential (2+ years). It is remote work to begin with but eventually we will need you onsite at the client office in Brindisi, Italy. Single stage Teams interviews are happening in early March with onboarding soon after. Italian or EU candidates are ideal. 

As the Web Developer you will:

• Be responsible for full life-cycle of medium to large sized complex projects.
• Develop solutions based on extensive technical knowledge of Java, ExtJS and other skills.
• Liaise with project leads and end customers to understand requirements and develop required solutions.
• Document code and associated processes
• Provide support by investigating and resolving development-related issues.

You will have experience with:

• Sencha ExtJS
• JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js).
• HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and responsive design
• Java, J2EE, EJB, JPA development
• Relational database development and design (MySQL/MariaDB)
• SOAP and RESTful Web Services development
• Spring framework / Docker containers / build and release tools such as Maven, Gradle
• Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, AWS Cloud Services.
• Working knowledge of Container-orchestration systems (Kubernetes) is a plus.
