Windows & Active Directory Systems Administrator – 6 Month rolling contract – Remote 

We have a brand-new contract opportunity for a Windows & Active Directory Systems Administrator to join our client with the option to work fully remote or onsite in Spain or Italy. The responsibilities include participating in planning and development of new features; proactive management of the environments as well as the forecasting of capacity needs; assisting with the deployment of new applications and services; working with other teams and playing a key role in optimising services.

This Windows & Active Directory Systems Administrator position starts with an initial 6-month contract, however multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential. Single stage MS Teams interview for the position are scheduled for December.

Windows & Active Directory Systems Administrator Requirements:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows systems within an enterprise-server environment.
• Maintain best practices and procedures for patch management, virus management, and operating systems upgrades.
• Active Directory Management, including managing and troubleshooting GPO's, DNS, and DHCP.
• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues.
• Define and implement security best practices and hardening of the Windows Server and related technologies.
• Perform other duties as required.

About you:

• 6 years of Windows Server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager.
• Experience deploying, integrating, configuring, and securing Microsoft Windows Servers in an Active Directory environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, or an equivalent tool, to centrally manage servers in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with patching, updating and vulnerability remediation for Windows OS and third-party applications.
• High level knowledge of Active Directory and group policy objects (GPO).
• Ability to provide Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Fulfillment support.
