An opportunity to join a lead engineering company that specialises in renewable energy. The role is to assist with contracts and claims for a project in Eastern Europe. Travel to the project will be required every 1 out of 4 weeks.
Requirements
- Capable of handling multiple issues and assignments pertaining to claims.
- Ability to prepare technical expert reports and effective oral presentation.
- Provide advice at a strategic level on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the overall objectives of satisfactorily resolving all Customer and Supplier project claims.
- Lead the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project claim process, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
- Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout the project claims process.
- Claims Managers will also be required to deliver assigned projects to meet client requirements and achieve business outcomes within project budgets
- Establishing and maintaining good, professional and pro-active working relationships with Customers, Contractors and suppliers
- Guiding the Project Management Team toward identification and negotiations of contract claims with customer and/or suppliers.
- Providing management with relevant, concise and accurate claims reporting information.
- Providing direction and supervision to assigned supporting personnel.
- Required to negotiate and administer all project claims with outside parties.
Experience
- Claims management experience on complex projects which involve engagement and coordination of stakeholders.
- Experience of handling analytical tasks involved in claims analysis, including issue analysis, and schedule or cost analysis.
- Capable of utilizing common PC based software such as Excel, Word, Access, etc.
- German and English Language skills
Commercial Conditions
To be based onsite in Germany with occasional travel to site in Eastern Europe.
Language skills - German fluent in spoken and written
Working hours Monday to Friday, core working hours
40-50h / week (by appointment)
