Instrument Engineer, Biotechnology Company, Nottinghamshire

Are you an experienced Engineer within the Life Sciences or related industry? Are you looking to further your career with an industry leading organisation? Then the position of Instrument Engineer could be the ideal role for you!

You could be working for a biotechnology company with more than 30 years within the industry and a world leader in their specialist area thanks to their unique products and technologies. With headquarters in the UK, both research and large-scale manufacturing sites with expansions on the horizon, this is a company destined to keep growing and continue to be industry leading.

In this role you will be responsible for the engineering maintenance activities to ensure the 27/7 manufacturing facility runs on schedule and to the defined standards. You will be involved in project support on small engineering projects and the provision of out of hours emergency call-out support Rota. The rota will be determined once an induction period has been completed. The position will allow you to gain involvement to upcoming site expansions also.

You will have the following experience/qualifications:
  • 3-5 years’ experience with a process-oriented industrial environment, ideally in pharma or food
  • Familiarity with standard industrial electrical LV infrastructure, process instrumentation and analytical measurement typically pH, DOT and Conductivity
  • Siemens PLC and BMS systems with be a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge or experience of cGMP change control and process improvement
