IT Infrastructure Engineer – Pharmaceuticals – 12 Month Contract – Leiden

Are you local to the Netherlands and would you like to join a leading biopharmaceutical company in their mission to make a difference, changing lives through their scientific pursuits? Our client, a discoverer and developer of innovative medicines, are recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their brand-new build cell therapy project on a 12-month contractual basis.

IT Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Support the administration of digital plant systems including DeltaV, Syncade, ThinManager and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Support the management of the network infrastructure
  • Perform change activities to ensure appropriate system content/structure
  • Proactively investigate, design, configure and test solutions to a variety of technical problems
  • Develop procedures and work instructions to support the operational activities of the shared services team
  • Provide guidance and support to other internal departments
  • Provide on-call support for the site digital plant systems along with other team members
  • Work closely with global teams to ensure cross-site alignment on digital plant systems
  • Engage with non-automation IT partners (IT hosting and user experience partners) ensuring the highest level of general IT support and delivery is maintained for the site.
About you:
  • Experience in information technology (IT)/automation systems with a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services, Hyper-V Manager, Failover Cluster and Microsoft licensing
  • Knowledge of process automation system (beneficial)
  • Core competencies include, communication skills, problem-solving, flexibility to react to changing business needs, ability to meet deadlines and a commitment to self-development
  • Ability to work independently and within cross functional teams
