Mechanical Engineer - Leading Global Offshore Wind Specialist - 5 month contract in Denmark

Quanta are supporting a global energy organisation with the identification of a Mechanical Engineer to support with design of Mechanical, HVAC & Fire Safety Systems for onshore & offshore substations. 
The need someone to join the project from the start, up until the Commissioning phase. 

To be considered for the role, you must be based within the EU and be happy to be based in Denmark. 
The client are also looking for someone who holds a relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

The role is from February - August 2021 + Possible 5 month extension,  working 28 hours a week. 

The scope of the work includes: 

• Responsible for the design of mechanical, HVAC  & fire safety systems on onshore / offshore substations during all phases from concept to commissioning.
• Preparing technical specifications, design basis, lists and calculations for mechanical, HVAC & fire safety components for both onshore and offshore substations.
• Ensuring that the deliverables from engineering, fabrication and principal contractors are of the right quality according to requirements.
• Supporting the Technical Integrity team on retrofit projects
• Participating in FAT/SAT of mechanical, HVAC & fire safety systems on onshore and offshore substations
• Participating in project team meetings and cross-disciplinary cooperation and to support supervision and commissioning activities as well as handover to Operation & Maintenance.

Our client is looking for a candidate to:

• have extensive relevant technical design experience, preferably within offshore substations or offshore oil and gas projects.
• have hands-on experience with P&IDs, calculations, equipment sizing and specifications.
• have extensive experience with relevant international standards.
• have a strong analytical approach, enabling you to handle a range of complex tasks quickly.
