The client is looking for a strong Medical Information and Intelligence Lead to join the team, some of the role responsibilities and experience require are below;
Role Responsibilities:
- To manage and oversee the Medical Information Vendor and provide them with the relevant resources, training and support required and make key decisions on how they manage medical information.
- To provide timely, accurate and appropriate verbal and written information in response to global technical enquiries forwarded on from the Medical Information vendor on the Company’s products to internal and external customers to facilitate the appropriate, effective, safe and continued use of Pharma products.
- Ensure all the necessary details of an enquiry are understood before searching appropriate information sources effectively and compiling high quality responses in accordance with customer deadlines and expectations.
- Identify suspected spontaneous adverse drug reaction reports from the information given by customers during enquiry handling and ensure they are brought to the attention of the Pharmacovigilance department in line with legal and company requirements.
- Identify potential product technical and quality complaints elicited during enquiry handling and ensure these are reported in line with legal and company requirements.
- To lead on the transition of medical information management for a recent product acquisition from the former MA holder to Client.
- To oversee and lead on any other medical information matters that may impact the business.
- Lead and drive medical intelligence within the organisation and retain ownership of tracking the changing competitive landscape.
- Demonstrate an ability to track important competitive medical intelligence and disseminate in the various forms including, publication tracking, training internal colleagues, briefing documents etc
- Attend key oncology and rare disease congresses to obtain data insights and competitive intelligence to feedback to the wider cross-functional team.
- Use information from CI, Congress and clinical landscape changes to support senior team in publication planning and execution.
- Produce competitive intelligence reports for the global brand and medical teams.
- Update on a weekly basis CI updates at the Global Med Affairs meeting
Desired Experience:
- Strong experience in a medical information role with exposure to vendor outsourcing
- Science degree / Pharmaceutical qualification
- Strong presentation, multitasking and prioritisation skills
- Medical information enquiry handling and responding
- Previous Launch experience desirable
- Regular exposure to commercial side of the business
- A proactive approach and enjoys working within a cross functional team
- Adaptability and ability to work under time pressures
