Microbiology Manager - Global Pharmaceutical Company - South Leinster - 11 month contract

With global demand for their life-changing oncology treatment increasing; one of our global pharmaceutical clients is looking for a Microbiology Manager to join their team to support a €500 million expansion project in Leinster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the art fill-finish facility and the company’s first stand-alone vaccine and biologics plant outside the US. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • This role is lab operations based and ensures all routine and non-routine testing is completed in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements to facilitate product manufacture and release.
  • Day-to-day management of all microbiology laboratory activities.
  • Provide microbiological support to site including process simulations, aseptic processing and laboratory test methods.
  • Coach the Microbiology Team as appropriate to develop microbiological SME’s.
Requirements:
  • At least five years’ experience in a laboratory environment (ideally microbiology) within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International Codes, Standards and Practices
  • Knowledge of cGMP and Laboratory Quality Systems
  • Must have previous experience managing a team
