Quanta are currently looking for a Power System Engineer for an exciting, complex project! Power System Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? Look no further... 

  • 13-01-2020 to 30-04-2020 - With two options for 3 months extensions
  • Full time (8 hours on average) with 5 working days per week
  • London or Gentofte 
  • Travel to Hamburg for an introduction.

In case the consultant is located in London, some traveling to Gentofte should be expected. The work needs to be done in PSCAD and license for this program must be provided by the consultancy
 
General description:
  • The Consultant shall undertake insulation coordination studies on Ørsted assets (34kV Array Cable plus termination, and WTG system).
  • Contributions from TenneT assets shall also be considered when determining the dielectric strength of Ørsted equipment.
  • Since Ørsted has already developed the PSCAD simulation model the model will be handed over to the consultant and shall be used for the simulations

Detailed tasks:
  • Ensure technical/economical optimisation of the electrical system and array and that all relevant studies are carried out
  • Prepare electrical system design reports and verification of grid code compliance
  • Prepare & review technical documents
  • Continuously report progress, variations, and challenges to the electrical project manager and provide input to various reports
  • Prepare necessary data and compliance documentation required by the TSO/DNO, OFTO, and others
  • Provide necessary information for compliance test and ensure feed-back from test and commissioning into system design
