Currently they are looking for a Senior Scientist / Project Leader to manage various projects (substantive and / or project-based) within their influenza department.
What will your duties and responsibilities become?
- You are able to combine available business information with scientific information (literature), and convert this into a clear overview of what you then convert into concrete plans for improvements. You have a broad scientific network.
- You are or develop into an expert on sub-aspects of our influenza vaccine production process.
- You are able to translate ideas into a concrete research plan including realistic timelines.
- You devise, present and initiate improvements in the production process.
- You prepare experiments independently, perform them and take care of the reporting. You act as project leader and proactively monitor the progress and timelines of these projects within and outside the CCI department.
- You are part of multidisciplinary projects and represent the CCI department.
- You initiate and manage changes to the production process (change control).
Knowledge & Experience?
- At least a relevant completed Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in the field of (Bio) process technology;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant position where demonstrable knowledge of process technology has been gained (preferably within the pharmaceutical industry);
- Knowledge of and experience with the development of processes and USP / DSP process steps (eg centrifugation, filtering, purification / characterization of proteins) is an advantage;
- Experience in project-based work;
- You are fluent in the English and Dutch language;
