Celebrating Marcin's 10 year anniversary at Quanta

We’re celebrating a brilliant milestone this month as Marcin Buczakowski reaches his 10-year anniversary at Quanta. Marcin joined us in 2011 and, from the very first day, he became an invaluable member of the Quanta team. We spoke to Marcin and some of his colleagues to discover more about the part he has played in the team and why he’s stayed with Quanta all these years.

When did you join Quanta and why?

I joined Quanta on the 23^rd of November 2011; it was a long time ago, but I remember it well. I was attracted to Quanta by their human approach to recruiting me. I went for roughly 5 to 10 interviews at the time and Dave’s approach set him apart from everyone else.

From the offset, I got a good vibe from the company and during my tour of the office, it was clear that the team were laughing, smiling and enjoying themselves. I then met Stephen, the CEO, for a coffee and his genuine approach completely sold Quanta to me, and I haven’t looked back since.

I have worked with Marcin closely over the past 10 years and there has never been a dull moment! Marcin is dedicated, hardworking and truly embodies Quanta’s One Team ethos. – Joanna Belmar

What is your role at Quanta and what do you love most about it?

I am currently the head of managed services at Quanta. What I love most about my role is how it has provided me with the opportunity to grow personally. My development within the company has been thoroughly enjoyable and I am grateful to Quanta for providing me with the platform to develop both personally and professionally.

Also, seeing the members of the team who report to me growing is just as fulfilling. Seeing the development of my fellow team members is what continues to motivate me, and I love that we can grow together as a team.

Marcin is a dedicated individual and is one of the strongest and entertaining personalities on the life sciences floor. Managing one of Quanta’s biggest accounts is no mean feat! It is clear to see that Marcin is very knowledgeable and has expertly built a strong working relationship with his clients.

This has laid the foundations for the expansion of the account, which continues to go from strength to strength. He may be a busy individual, but always has the time to put a smile on your face. – Zoe Dunhill

Where have you seen the company values in action?

To be honest, I see the values of the company every day. I think the biggest one is our ‘One Team’ philosophy; we work in recruitment and sometimes it can be tough, but we always ensure that we stick together and show that we are one team. Everyone is so helpful, and we don’t follow a ‘favour for a favour’ culture. It’s just a general willingness to help and pass on knowledge or expertise to help the team grow.

Also, Quanta always ensures that the members of the team are having fun and enjoying their working life. That’s a big one for us and we love to celebrate our achievements. They love to treat us and although other companies may spoil the directors of the company, not many companies treat the entire team the way Quanta does. I’m always looking forward to the next team bonding event, and I’m delighted that they come around so frequently.

People are friends outside of work hours too; friendships and even marriages have blossomed at Quanta, so it just shows the environment that is being promoted within the company.

Do you have any advice for someone who is thinking of joining Quanta?

Don’t think, just join us! I have loads of friends in recruitment and I know that Quanta is just different to other companies. We are much more than a recruitment company and the fact that I’ve been here for 10 years, and I have colleagues celebrating 15 or 20 years in the company is a testament to that.

It just shows that Quanta is willing to provide you with the materials and foundations you need to thrive, and if you work to your ability, you will definitely be a success here. So just come in, have fun and at the same time make loads of money!

I have had the pleasure of working with Marcin for the past 4 years and his dedication to his customers and candidates is unrivalled. He has a can-do attitude and is always happy to go the extra mile.
