Caroline O’Sullivan our consultant managing the role
Published on 17 December 2021

It’s time for another Quanta party, and this time we are celebrating Caroline O’Sullivan’s 15-year anniversary. Caroline has established herself as an integral cog in the sales team and has shown exceptional dedication and commitment to her role since joining the team. We sat down with Caroline to find out more about her time at Quanta and what she’s enjoyed the most in her 15 years here.

When did you join Quanta and why?

I joined Quanta on the 18th of December 2006 and Quanta was actually recommended to me by a friend I knew. I was working in hospitality, and I was just fed up with doing evening and weekend work and my friend said, “why don’t you come on down to Quanta”. I had no experience in recruitment but once I learned about the company culture and how well the staff are treated, I decided to take a new step in my career; and 15 years later here I am.

“For the past 6 months I have been working alongside Caroline and covering her world whenever she is out of the office. Caroline is one of the biggest billers at Quanta which is a great achievement; she has got here by being herself and building excellent relationships with all her clients. Caroline is fun, bubbly and charismatic. I am looking forward to being part of Caroline’s team going forward and hope to learn a lot from her” | James Smithson

What is your role at Quanta?

I’m part of the senior sales staff, so I work closely with a number of freelance pharmaceutical sales companies and supply them with consultants and contractors. These are mainly for big projects, and I work really closely with both the client and the candidate to make sure that all parties are happy. I’ve taken the time to get to know my clients well, so I know the companies inside out and know which types of people and personalities they are looking for. This makes my role a whole lot easier and results in happy clients and candidates, which is the most important thing.

What do you love most about your job?

For me, it’s the amount of people that you get to speak to. It’s people from different countries, varied areas of life and loads of diverse experiences. You get to know your colleagues very well and build brilliant relationships with clients that you have been working with for years. The ability to connect with so many people on a global level is just fantastic and I look forward to what each day will bring.

What has kept you at Quanta for the last 15 years and what is your proudest moment?

The culture of the company has changed slightly during my time here, but it has remained fantastic the whole way through. A lot of the people that I joined with have moved on now, but the core values of Quanta have been consistently great. It is a family company; we all know each other very well and I just couldn’t imagine myself working somewhere else.

Well, I’ve billed over a million four years in a row so I’m extremely proud of that. That has been a crowning achievement for me as I’ve been dedicated to my role over the past 15 years and its great to see the results of my hard work

Simply amazing; phenomenal; to put it simply one of the very best. I have had the pleasure of working with Caroline throughout her Quanta career and her contribution to our business is huge. Caroline is one of the architects of our Life Sciences team and her commitment and dedication over the past 15 years has never wavered, not once. We are blessed and so fortunate to have Caroline in our team; her loyalty has been brilliant, and we thank you Caroline for everything you do for our clients; candidates and colleagues . | David Broome

Where have you seen the company values in action?

One Team’ is something that is constantly in flow at Quanta, particularly within the sales staff. For example, if a colleague has a role and you know a candidate that is the right fit for it, we go out of our way to find those candidates and pass them on to our colleagues. As a company, we want to help each other, and we all want each other to succeed. We work closely together to grow as a team, and we love celebrating others’ achievements as much as our own. If one of us succeeds we all succeed.

Do you have any advice for someone who is thinking of joining the Quanta team?

The best advice is that you’ve got to come in and just embrace everything. That includes the nights out, the jokes and the work; get yourself stuck in and enjoy it all. From a professional point of view, the company will give you all the support they can to make you as successful as possible. If you want to work in an inspiring and happy environment, then Quanta is the place to be.
