Design Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Northern France - 12-Month Contract 

Would you like to work for an established global pharmaceutical organisation investing heavily in CapEx in Northern Europe? If yes, then this is the assignment for you!

Our client with manufacturing facilities in Northern Europe, is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing programme.  This state-of-the-art facility houses high-technology and next-gen processes to produce drugs that are distributed throughout the Globe. The site is easily reachable by Road, Rail and Air and has excellent transport links throughout.

The client is currently seeking the expertise of a Design Manager. 

Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Permitting management (i.e. collecting all the documentation needed for construction permitting application)
  • Architecture, Exterior Envelope, and interior design
  • Utility infrastructure / connection to external supply
  • Civils & Structural and Landscaping
  • Storm water, drainage, and sewerage
  • Fire & Life systems (Build, Architectural finishes & installation) e.g. fire compartmentalisation of building, fire curtains, escape routes etc.
  • Security systems (Build, Architectural finishes & installation) e.g. location of gatehouse, turnstiles/speed gates, exterior fencing etc.
  • BIM documentation standards and coordination with the local Site Operations team

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in a design management role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including digital and print materials.
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in both French and English.
  • Project management certification if possible
  • French / Belgian Nationality Ideally.
