HSE Consultant - Copenhagen, Denmark - 12-Month Contract

Our client specialises in delivering pharma engineering solutions to the Danish pharmaceutical market. Contributing to over 1,300 engineering projects for their customers every year, they are experts in planning and establishing new pharma facilities, including upgrading, expanding, and supporting existing operations. As their impressive portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a talented HSE Consultant to support the success of their latest large scale capital investment project.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide EHS knowledge and expertise throughout the various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Carry out risk assessments.
  • EHS representative from conceptual design, basis of design, detailed design, commissioning, qualification, validation, handover.
  • Review tender packages with respect to EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety).
  • Ensure appropriate EHS standards are in place across disciplines to adhere to site standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead by example and ensure that the safety culture and regulation are fulfilled on the building site.
  • Working as part of a team of EHS advisors to ensure all aspects of commissioning safety on site.
  • Ensuring that the permit crossover process and permit co-ordination is as per company procedures.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years EHS experience – open to background however Pharma/Bio is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of supporting safety activities – ideally within a CAPEX project environment.
  • Other relevant industries include chemical, construction, process-related industries.
  • CE marking experience is a big plus.
  • LOTO experience is a plus (Lock Out Tag Out).
  • Knowledge of different project phases, with an engineering background. Process knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of DK WEA (Working Environment Agency) regulations and interpretations.
  • Degree Educated (BSc) or relevant field experience.
  • Committed to a long-term contract opportunity.
  • Dynamic and willing to learn and progress.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Danish.
