HVAC Engineer Lead – Life Sciences – 12 Month Contract – North Carolina

Do you want to work with an exciting company who are an established market leader within their unique and niche field? We have a fantastic opportunity for an HVAC Engineer Lead to help drive the delivery of a large new capital invest project on an initial 12-month contract. As the HVAC Engineer Lead, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a new state of the art facility in relation to the lead startup and commissioning of HVAC systems on site.

HVAC Engineer Lead Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for safe startup of systems.
  • Perform safety risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Conduct field coordination meetings using Organizational Risk Management boards to identify all hazards and determine mitigation strategies.
  • Develop ‘Safe Plan of Action’ for all tasks.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/system performance issues with support from SME and engineering resources.
  • Also take responsibility for:
      • Valve and damper alignments
      • LOTO
      • Signage and barricades
      • Completing installation documentation
      • Energization of utilities and equipment per written startup plans
      • Commissioning of utilities and equipment per written commissioning plans
  • Plan daily activities and coordinate multiple startup activities.
  • Approve and coordinate work to be performed each day for multiple systems.
About you:
  • 10 years of field experience in Pharmaceuticals
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs and electrical single line diagrams
