IT Support Engineer - Pharmaceuticals - 12 Month Contract - Netherlands

Are you an IT Support Engineer looking for your next contract? Quanta has the role for you! Our client, a global biopharmaceutical organisation, has a long term freelance assignment for an experienced IT Support Engineer looking for contract work.

Working as part of a team you will be required to assist with the implementation of the Cybersecurity policies, procedures and other projects.

Due to the nature of the assignment we are looking for an IT Support Engineer who is either a resident or has the right to work inside the Netherlands.

It Support Engineer Responsibilities:

Work with local & global teams on the scheduling of required and regular Microsoft OS patching, for systems in scope.
Raise Service Now requests for various support and OS patch schedules as required.
Work with external vendors on the support and maintenance of systems within the environment.
Review monthly vulnerability reports and remediate as required.
Support the asset life cycle of systems and applications on site.
Support on site Anti-Virus and Malware scanning stations and systems.
Review and approve local Firewall rule requests and, carry out reviews of existing rules as required.
Support and schedule Onsite Application Recovery (OAR) for systems in scope
Support and promote cybersecurity awareness, with users on / through the use of various platforms, on site.
Support the local implementation of global cybersecurity hardening projects as required.
Support the global cybersecurity team in the investigation or support, related to their solutions on site.
Enforce the required cybersecurity policies, for the site, and as outlined in the relevant SOP’s and WI’s.
Create new and update existing documentation as required.

About you:

Degree or relevant experience.
3-5 years of strong experience, or more in supporting and managing Windows in professional environment(s)
Working knowledge of networking technologies and components such as network switches, network firewalls, and wireless networks.
Right to work in the Netherlands
Must have proficient TCP/IP networking, DNS & Active Directory understanding
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in MS Word & Excel
Ability to work both independently and as a contributor in a team environment
Strong oral, written communication, and data organisation skills. English required, Dutch is nice to have.

Desirable:

Experience supporting a large global corporate, or regulated environment.
An understanding of the Purdue model
Basic understanding of cyber security concepts.
Working knowledge of change management process
Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Visio, and the creation of data flow diagrams.
Working knowledge of Vitalisation Technology
