Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join them on an initial 12-Month contractual basis, remote based (with travel to Lemvig).
With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.
Responsibilities:
- As HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as Engineer’s Representative during the construction works. You will work as part of the project team delivering the onshore elements of the Thor offshore windfarm project which include construction works for the onshore substation.
- We are looking for a Mechanical/ HVAC Engineer to support the project during construction, testing & commissioning and handover. You will support the electrical land substation (ELS) package.
- As Onshore Mechanical /HVAC Engineer you will provide support to the Lead Onshore Civil Engineer and Package Manager, and will work alongside the Employer’s representatives on site. There may be designs to be evaluated in combination with on-site inspections and construction/interface meetings.
Requirements:
- A proven track record in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within HVAC design of buildings, including multiple projects where on-site review/ supervision of Contractor’s mechanical installations has been undertaken.
- Supervision of testing and commissioning of mechanical installations in accordance with Danish regulations.
- Coordination of HVAC systems with BMS / SCADA systems
- Working with/ review of construction related documentation such as ITPs, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Working with critical infrastructure projects where system redundancy is required.
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively and proactively with the wider team.
- Strong coordination skills; highly motivated, confident and resourceful.
- Fluent in English speaking/writing.
- Understanding of verbal/ written Danish is preferable.
