Our client are a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for an O&M Engineer to join them on an initial 13-month contractual basis, based in Lincolnshire.
With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for OFTO assets on behalf of O&M during construction, commissioning and O&M phases
- Responsible for ensuring all OFTO assets are maintained through life (including constructions) prior to the OFTO sale
- Act as technical lead for OFTO assets on behalf of O&M
- Conduct technical incident investigation and network fault support and call out
- Day to day management of OFTO maintenance team
- Lead of modifications and RCA processes for OFTO assets
- BEng/ MEng degree in Electrical Engineering – HNC with sufficient experience will be considered, Required GWO Offshore Training, IOSH/NEBOSH Certified
- 5 yrs + Experience in power transmission – HVDC Highly desirable
- 5 yrs + Experience in LV and HV equipment including control and protection, HV switchgear, transformers, electrical system design, operation and maintenance and UK electrical grid markets
- Knowledge of HV Operational Safety Rules within wind industry application
- Knowledge of Grid code compliance requirements
- Experience of managing a team and external contractors
