Procurement Lead – Life Sciences – 8 months – Oregon

Are you looking for your next contract, and fancy the opportunity to work in the beautiful Pacific Northwest? Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, are recruiting for a Procurement Lead to join their team in the construction of their new biopharmaceutical production plant. This new build facility will be vital vehicle in helping our client continue global access to life changing therapeutics. 

Procurement Lead Responsibilities:
  • Leads the overall equipment procurement effort
  • Works with Stakeholders to identify overall equipment list, lead times, cost, onsite need date and vendors support
  • Develops Equipment procurement tracker
  • Works with equipment stakeholders in defining procurement strategy, escalates issues in a timely manner. 
  • Works with stakeholder on the placement of purchase requisitions, by stakeholder or this role, as needed.
  • Works with stakeholders and PMs to identify vendor support needs and other requirements are included in the Pos
  • Ensures orders receipt process is completed and the close of PO also.
About you:
  • Experience leading the procurement of process and lab equipment within Pharma/Biotech
  • Have experience with vendors and vendor management – direct contact
  • Strong communication and negotiations skills
