Project Engineer-Life Science- Contract- Milan

Our client, a global pharmaceutical organisation is responsible for developing and manufacturing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines.

With continued organisational growth and a considerable amount of investment across the portfolio and capital programme they are seeking the expertise of Project Engineer.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Development of policies, plans, procedures, and reports for the project.
  • Coordination of the Engineering design interface across multiple A/E disciplines.
  • Automation Interface management between A&IT, Technical & Engineering Teams.
  • Co-ordination / Management of the 3D model review process for the project.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in scope development activities & change management.
  • Coordinating design input to Constructability, Commissioning & Qualification and Validation.
  • Influence Quality by Design (QbD).
  • Supporting the development of a detailed schedule for all engineering and technical discipline activities.
  • Supporting and coordinating detailed specifications/designs for the fabrication/ purchase of all plant and equipment across engineering disciplines.
  • Equipment vendor interface management including, for example, FAT co-ordination.
  • Monitoring that the design complies with relevant internal Design Guides, national and local engineering practices.
  • Controlling overall project standards, specifications and requirements (e.g. Business Information Modelling, Computer Aided Design).
About you:
  • Min qualification – BS in Engineering Discipline (or equivalent).
  • Experience of A/E Design Firm project execution
  • Minimum (8 years) pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical engineering project experience for Lead positions.
  • Previous experience in design of project >$100 MM required
  • Knowledge of and direct operational experience within manufacturing facilities including large molecule, small molecule and sterile injectables.
  • Knowledge and experience of project execution for fully automated facility design
  • Experience of facility design in a 3D Model / BIM environment utilising integrated project delivery
