Duties:
  • Providing overall commercial and technical leadership to the project team for the Facility through all project phases – engineering (completion of detailed design), procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning/start-up
  • Maintaining a strategic focus for the project with frequent interaction with all business areas involved and all vendors involved to ensure a balance between the immediate project needs and the long term goals of the company
  • Formulating of sub‐contracting strategy and leading the negotiations of sub‐contracts
  • Determining and communicating contractual requirements, business needs and goals within assigned scope
  • Performing project due diligence, assessing, reporting and and mitigating/realising risks and opportunities
  • Optimizing resources (manpower, material, equipment) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project
  • Leading Project Teams and facilitation of the communication and interaction among the functional representatives
  • Tracking project against its schedule, budget and against phase gate review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis, and executive staff on a needed basis
  • Working with Project Controls to transition proposed budget into execution budget
  • Participating in the Project Proposal to ensure the Scope of Work is properly defined and ensuring that the Project Team has a clear understanding of the Project Scope of supply
  • Travelling to customer sites and subcontractors offices
Requirements: 
  • Technical or commercial university degree or equivalent combination of both
  • Multi-year professional experience in project management for the engineering, procurement and construction of CGT facilities, preferably in an EPC-environment
  • Good experience within facilities engineering
  • Possessing excellent knowledge of change-, claims- and risk-management
  • Possessing a broad understanding of each engineering discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of EPC-companies interfaces
  • Effective project management and leadership skills
  • Strong problem solver, identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong decision maker, considering the relative costs, impact on schedule and quality and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
