Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for a Senior Authorised Person to join them on an initial 2-3 year contractual basis, based in North East England.
With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all provided Client training and authorisation processes to achieve and maintain required authorisations, as stated above, for the Offshore Wind Farm.
- Provide coordination and Safety Rules technical support for the project.
- Take responsibility in ensuring Safety From The System is achieved and all required documentation is prepared and issued prior to all work commencing.
- Responsible for co-ordination of all WFO Senior Authorised Person activities associated with the commissioning stage and continued operation of the WFO HV network including breakdown response where necessary.
- Assess each job on a task-by-task basis. Identifying all necessary precautions as required. Carryout onsite supervision of Persons and third-party contractors whilst ensuring the use of correct PPE, equipment and working practices throughout.
- Prepare/review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for work on site.
- Support where required, the Client Location/Responsible Manager in the development and production all required Local Management Instructions.
- Support where required, the Client Responsible Manager coordinating the necessary documentation and control procedures associated with Client Operational Safety Rules. Ensuring known status at all times.
Requirements:
- 66kV SAP qualified.
- Experience working for a developer within a DNO, grid or offshore wind environment.
- IOSH / NEBOSH or relevant safety / competency qualification.
- Full GWO's and HUET with CA-EBS.
- Substation/ HVDC converter station experience.
