Senior Site Manager - Energy from Waste - 12-Month Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Has overall responsibility for ensuring Company HSEQ Management Systems are maintained, reviewed and implemented on site and that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
  • Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control, and for stopping work where this might be compromised
  • Leads and manages an interdisciplinary team
  • Contributes experience of putting into effect standardised methods in order to identify complex problems
  • Develops guidelines and requirements
  • Ensures realisation of existing contracts with site team to meet HSEQ, time and budget goals for each scope
  • Collaborates within site and project team organisation and specialist departments
  • Documents and traces non-conformities, deviations and claims
  • Schedules final erection inspections
  • Provides overall assurance that actions arising from HSEQ inspections and audits are completed, closed and effective
  • Ensures waste management is carried out in accordance with compliance requirements
  • Co-operates and exchanges experience with colleagues responsible for products and other project teams and departments

Requirements:
  • Degree or HNC/HND in building engineering
  • Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) and The Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Chartered status
  • Several years‘ experience in construction of large complex industrial plants as Senior Site Manager / Commissioning Supervisor
  • Must have Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) or equivalent
