Global Solar PV Projects - World Leader - Freelance Position

Are you a Senior Solar Consultant looking for their next contract opportunity? Look no further. Quanta is currently supporting a world leader within engineering with a fast-growing market.

We are looking for a Consultant who can be on hand to provide expertise (remote or site-based) on global projects. Ideally, you will have full life cycle Solar PV experience, and be able to provide technical expertise during the FEED stage up to Commissioning and into Operations & Maintenance.

With a choice of Denmark or Germany as a working base, you can expect travel from Egypt to Italy and even Macedonia to Italy.

More specifically, those are examples of work that you will be performing:
• Pre-feasibility studies: preliminary plant design development and investment requirement identification. Carried out as desktop study, likely a site visit. 

• Construction supervision:
- Construction planning: Project Execution Plan support - HSE, logistics, site access, insurance, social and communities plan, stakeholder governance, approval procedures, communication plan
- Construction execution: on site supervision, stakeholder management (EPC, landers, grid operator, shareholders), logistics, documentation management
- Construction control: compliance check for construction drawings, quality control (equipment’s on site, storage, compliance of work check with drawings), O&M implementation schedule report, project risks, progress reports, audits

• Commissioning support:
- Commissioning planning: procedure by EPC contractor reviewed, Factory acceptance test, mechanical completion tests, practical completion test, performance guarantee test, Instrumentation & control, SCADA, IT communication test
- Commissioning execution: management of HSE, supervision of commissioning tests, expedite corrective work (punch list, final acceptance certification, corrective action plan)

• O&M support
- Tasks include first-hand inspection of the projects, such as checking security, modules, construction and mounting platforms, Inspection of DC/AC system, cable laying, safety equipment inspection, earthing system inspection, mounting structures inspection, connection and labelling of all components, security system inspection, meteorological system inspection, inspection of the main components.
