Sustainability and Environmental Officer - Energy From Waste - Wiltshire

Do you have extensive knowledge and experience of biomass or thermal power plants? Do you have the necessary skills to be a leader through mobilisation into safe operation of a power plant?

Quanta’s client is currently one of the leading turnkey EPC specialists delivering large energy recovery projects. This includes the design, build and operation of plants for household, non-hazardous, commercial and industrial waste.


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure full compliance with the requirements of the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification standards (ISCC)
  • Support the development of the Management Systems with specific regard to the requirements of ISO14001 and ISCC
  • Identify and report to the Operations Director any failings with company policy, procedures, standards, and expectations
  • Carrying out sustainability and environmental internal audits as required
 
Requirements:
  • A recognised Environmental Sciences or Sustainability degree or equivalent experience & qualifications.
  • Understanding of the requirements and how to comply with the Environmental Permitting (England & Wales) Regulations 2016.
  • Understanding of the criteria for assessing the sustainability of wastes, crops and biomass residues
  • Ability to take a leading role in and champion site sustainability and environmental standards.
