What is the role of the Senior Business Unit Leader?

Also known as Recruitment Manager, Recruitment Team Leader, or Recruitment Consultant Leader, this is a role that is purely focused on team development. Day-to-day, as a Senior Business Unit Leader you will help build company business plans, implement growth and development pathways for your team and assist in training. Whilst it is a non-billing role, it offers great variety. Your team could be made up with seasoned professionals with years of experience, or Delivery Executives progressing into their first business winning role.

Your business unit will be our Life Sciences division, but a background in Life Sciences is not needed to make a success of it. Your role will be focused on growing and developing your team of business winners rather than making sales in the sector yourself. Anyway, within our award-winning training and induction programme, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to Life Sciences, and we will help you to become an expert in one of the fastest growing and most robust industries in the recruitment sector!

What experience is needed for the Senior Business Unit Leader role?

As Senior Business Unit Leader, you will need to have good experience in the recruitment industry. Ideally, we are looking for someone with five years of people management experience, and particularly someone who has managed junior and senior business winners and recruitment consultants. You will have had experience working with and developing business platforms, have a great understanding of business development and skilled at training and developing teams.

As long as you bring the talent and passion for people development, we are not particular about what industry you have recruited in before – we can certainly get you up to scratch with the Life Sciences recruitment scene.
