Quanta embarks on the MAPSTAR Sales Academy training

The MAPSTAR Sales Academy ‘Winning New Business in 2022’ programme is one of our latest endeavours. In February this year, a team of some of our newest and most experienced Business Winners embarked on their MAPSTAR journey. Here we delve into the programme, how it is benefitting our team and business, and how our first MAPSTAR delegates got on.

What is the MAPSTAR™ Sales Academy ‘Winning New Business in 2022’ programme?

MAPSTAR’s ‘Winning New Business in 2022’ is a unique training programme that aims to enhance business development and business winning skills. Created and delivered by long term friend of Quanta and Motivational and Sales Leadership Coach, Brad Shackleton, the programme coaches sales professionals how to target, pitch and win new clients, and better support existing clients.

The programme dedicates 7 full days offsite over the course of 5 months. But Brad offers access to his knowledge and services around the clock during this time. A WhatsApp group was created between Brad and our Quanta delegates so that questions, advice, and successes could be shared throughout. Being away from head office meant that each training day was truly dedicated to the learning process without any distractions.

In between sessions, delegates are given ‘homework’ to put their learnings into practice. This includes creating video diaries, enhancing their personal branding and performing elements of their role with their new knowledge. On the 7th and final day of the programme, pairs of delegates deliver a ‘Dragon Den’ style presentation pitching for new clients.

Who is MAPSTAR for?

This programme is designed for any person with a desire to start, or level up, there business winning career. At Quanta, our Business Winners work with clients to support the staffing of project teams across Life Sciences, Renewable Energy, Data Centre and IT industries across the world. The team that took part earlier this year had varying levels of experience; from just getting started in their business winning career, to having over 10 years of industry experience. Bringing together such an eclectic mix of knowledge, the MAPSTAR course encourages team members to share experiences, learning not only from the programme but from each other.

What have the MAPSTAR results looked like?

We checked in with Quanta CEO, Dave, who was with this years’ delegates the whole way through their MAPSTAR training:
