Capital Project Manager - Utilities - Pharma - Chicago 

Our client is seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to oversee a critical site expansion project at its Indianapolis location. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of the capital project, focusing on utilities and chilled water systems to support the site's operational needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of a site expansion project focused on utilities and chilled water systems at the Indianapolis location.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, facilities, and regulatory affairs, to drive project success.
  • Oversee the selection and management of contractors and vendors involved in the project, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing capital projects in the life science industry, with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing. Experience in oil and gas or chemical industries may also be considered.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading capital projects with budgets exceeding $25 million.
  • Experience overseeing site expansion projects involving utilities and chilled water systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations and cGMP guidelines, is preferred.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
