Datacenter Technician - Valencia - Long term Contract

Long term contract role based in Valencia, Spain working for an international organization and focusing on  the physical support of an onsite Data Center. This is an English-speaking role that requires someone onsite in Spain so EU passport holders only. Start date is January 2021 following a MS Teams interview in December.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for the physical installation, maintenance and support of ICT cabling Infrastructure inside the Datacenter, plus final testing and deployment of devices as well as all related technical documentation.
  • You will take responsibility of the Datacenter operations at Tier 1 and handle requests through to effective solutions.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours duty roster and Stand-by services, as required.

  • Three years of experience working in large Datacenter environments.
  • Good knowledge of structured cabling and techniques including racking and mounting of network equipment (routers, switches, servers, appliances).
  • Familiarity with rack accessories i.e. PDU or CMC and associated management software
  • Good knowledge of HP Blade servers, enclosure and HP Servers management tools and
  • practices.
  • Experience in drafting technical documents.
  • Exposure in Information Security Management System (ISMS: ISO 27001), ITIL and ISO
  • 20000 framework.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required.
  • Ability to live and work in Spain.
