Electrical Engineer - Buckinghamshire - 9 Months + Extension 

Are you a Electrical Engineer looking for your next contract? Our client is a leading global industrial and energy company spanning across all five continents and are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help them in their mission towards a sustainable future. Positioned strategically, the company plays a vital role in the ongoing energy transition, serving as a leading integrated green utility with a global footprint.


Responsibilities:
  • Key responsibilities, accountabilities and decision ownership:
  • Collaborate with project teams to design electrical systems tailored to project requirements, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and controls.
  • Select appropriate electrical equipment and components considering project specifications, compatibility, and performance.
  • Supervise the installation of electrical systems, coordinating with contractors and technicians to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems to facilitate clear communication and accurate execution.
  • Prioritise safety by adhering to electrical codes, national grid requirements, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring personnel well-being and legal compliance.
  • Implement quality control processes to verify that electrical installations meet design specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning procedures to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, I2C or a related field; Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, installation, and operation, preferably within the construction industry or similar field.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software, CAD tools, and simulation applications relevant to electrical system design.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction sites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving project requirements and site specific conditions.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools relevant to electrical system design, such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar applications.
