Lead Project Scheduler / Planner - Data Centres - Brussels - 7-Month Contract 

Our client is a well-known brand operating in 65+ countries and has worked on some of world’s largest mission critical and infrastructure projects. This client has aggressive growth plans and are one of the top 5 largest design and consulting firms in the world.

The data centre arm of the portfolio is a vital and growing area of the business; therefore, our client is always looking for the best talent in the market – and they are looking for a Lead Project Scheduler / Planner.

The Project Scheduler / Planner will work closely with the site construction team to monitor project progress via Primavera P6 from pre-constriction through to project close out. The main objective of this role is to lead the scheduling team and provide opinions, advice and reports throughout the project.


Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with Primavera P6 or similar systems
  • Previous experience of leading scheduling / planning teams (3 team members +)
  • Experience of working on Projects in Belgium, France or Switzerland would be highly desirable
  • French language is highly desirable 
  • Data centre experience is essential (minimum of 3 months)
  • Proven history of working on other mission critical projects
  • Confidence to challenge the client and contractor, if necessary
  • Strong communicator and confidence to attend meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of local laws, legislation's and supply chains is advantageous
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexibility to work with changing requirements
  • Rights to work in Belgium or an EU passport
Responsibilities:
  • Leading scheduling / planning teams (3 team members +)
  • Communicating with all parties in English (and ideally French)
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile the master project/programme schedule, agreeing baselines and a critical path.
  • Working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to plan, develop and execute construction schedules.
  • Regular travel to construction site is expected.
  • Effectively work with Stakeholders, Clients, Contractors and Sub Contractors on a daily basis.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed construction program schedule using Primavera P6 for multi-project environments.
  • Ensure that schedule related data from vendors, suppliers, engineering and construction contractors of actual projects is provided as feedback into the planning and scheduling systems.
  • Implement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
  • Actively work with project managers, construction firms and subcontractor firms as necessary to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
  • Ability to coordinate & organise multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
  • Prepare and update progress reports as required by the client, including the Integrated Planning / Scheduling contribution to the monthly project report and specific reports / presentations.
  • Produce high level and 1, 3, 6 month look ahead from P6 for reporting.
  • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
  • Actively monitor and communicate any possible project issues that could delay the schedule.
  • Conduct the required project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole.
  • Analyse deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions, and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.
