Senior Buyer – Data Centres – Contract – Oregon

Are you a Senior Buyer looking for your next long-term contract? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our valued client in their new facility build based on the Northwest Coast of the United States.

Experienced at delivering highly efficient projects for state-of-the-art Data Centers, Pharma, Semi- Conductor infrastructures around the world, our client is a global leader in design, engineering and delivery of facilities for high tech industries. With growth plans to almost double their already huge turnover, there could not be a better time to join!

This is a large, mission critical, new-build facility project lasting approximately 3 years and offering fantastic rates.

Senior Buyer Responsibilities:

• Manage the Procurement process, facilitate the RFPs for equipment and subcontracts
• Manage the procurement strategy for specified projects in which you lead or support
• Manage the process of bid analysis and recommendations to award
• Develop the procurement strategy for assigned projects in which you lead or support
• Develop pricing tools and database to support estimating team with compiling budgets for business development activities
• Develop and implements streamlined processes for management and execution of the rf(x) process.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related required
• 5 + years of Procurement / Sourcing experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Good understanding of financials, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience using Oracle or SAP purchasing and inventory modules
