Controls Engineer – Data Centres – London

This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre operator that has been recognised for as one of fastest growing and well-known groups in the industry.

Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth, and require the expertise of a Controls Engineer. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor to their development to their client's requirements.  

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of a wide range of projects
  • Be a part of commissioning meetings, keep information up to date and drive works forward
  • Attend key meetings to monitor progress, actively collaborate on solving problems and communicate impacts to partners
  • Coordinate with the client team, consultant team and the contractor on commissioning process
  • Effectively communicate progress of project scope, schedule and budget, as well as update key partners and management on the commissioning process
  • Identify and manage scopes, timelines, budget and project interdependencies between key partners for a great client outcome
  • Facilitate meetings and activities with regards to turnover and handover
  • Ensure completion of Lease Projects including progress review, site visits and meetings
  • Witnessing of Level 0 (FAT) to Level 3 testing.  
  • Undertake and deliver the Level 4 testing
  • Run specific integrated system testing (Level 5).
  • Undertake detailed commissioning schedule reviews with key stakeholders

Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 plus years’ experience with at least 5 years working directly within the data centre field
  • Undertake long haul travel on a frequent basis
