Lead Mechanical Engineer - Frankfurt, Germany - 12-Month Contract

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Lead Mechanical Engineer for their Frankfurt location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.


Your main responsibilities include:
  • Detailed design
  • Working on retrofit and brownfield projects
  • Risk management
  • Assessments
  • Overseeing testing and commissioning protocols
  • Managing and delivering mechanical work packages in multiple projects
  • Identifying the scope, design, and management objectives and delivering project documentation while ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities
  • Writing technical specifications and reports
  • Preparing and reviewing project costs and risk assessments
  • Developing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Reviewing contractor pre-qualifications and prepared tender evaluation summaries
  • Write technical specifications for tenders
  • Involvement on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities
  • Progress reporting on to internal directors and external stakeholders

Requirements:
  • You are an entrepreneurial, result oriented and proactive
  • A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5+ years experience in design and installation
  • Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry
  • Excellent development and training opportunities
