Mechanical Project Engineer - Data Centres 

We are currently working with a leading data centre provider that specialise in the design, development, and operations of state-of-the-art data centre facilities.

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to assist on projects across London, Paris & Frankfurt.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support with planning, pre-acquisition, leasing, development, and construction
  • Be part of our team supporting the full life cycle of projects
  • Manage internal and external resource.
  • Support with contracts and negotiation in relation to design and construction.
  • Liaise with local authorities. Knowledge of VOB contracts would be an advantage.
  • Budget Management 
  • Track changes and cost risks
  • Ensure best practices are met across all locations
  • Provide technical expertise in the design and installation of data centre mechanical systems, fire suppression systems, and physical security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist with procurement
  • Apply value engineering to ensure costs are managed effectively
  • Regular client and stakeholder interaction
  • Help develop new data centre sites across Europe
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Education:  Bachelor's or Master’s Degree, mechanical or building services engineering, or technology-related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years experience in mission critical projects
  • Previous experience in mechanical, or building services engineering and project management.
  • Knowledge of design softwares including computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
