Senior ICT Project Manager - Data Centres - Milan, Italy 

We are seeking a Senior ICT Project Manager to look after a portfolio of Data Centre projects in Milan.  This position will be based in Italy with potential travel to projects where required.

Our client is seeking an ICT Specialist with a background in Telecoms, Electrical Engineering or BMS Background with 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager. This candidate will be responsible for running multiple projects in a Project Management capacity.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee multiple Data Centre projects from an ICT perspective for a global client.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage white space fit out and ensure that go live dates for networks are met
  • Ensure the delivery of fully tested, commissioned racked and stacked base network for client
  • Involvement in trouble shooting design alongside client and local contractors
  • Provide technical solutions on behalf of the client.
  • Management of budget, schedule and ensuring deadlines for go live dates/revenue ready dates are adhered to.
  • Management of project activities, risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, resources, and communications.
  • Lead large-scale projects end to end, ensuring successful delivery
  • Engage with Executive Management, Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Vendors, and internal teams to deliver projects from concept to implementation.
  • Plan and manage project delivery, incorporating rigorous scope control and change management.
  • Coordinate project teams through task delegation, resource assignment, and project management.
  • Document and manage project actions, decisions, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure client satisfaction, manage escalations, and serve as a single point of contact for clients.
  • Provide clear and concise communications to all stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of copper and fibre infrastructure distribution.
  • Thorough understanding of connectivity within data centre buildings
  • PMP Certified 
  • Risk Management experience
  • Previous experience on installation/overseeing installation in relation to copper and fibre installations
  • Italian language skills would be beneficial, but not required
  • Risk management Experience of fit out and technical ICT solutions
  • Great communication skills with all stakeholders
  • People management skills
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • 10 Years experience on ICT Construction Projects
  • 5 Years of Project Management Experience
  • Solid IT technical background
  • Experience within Design
  • Data Centre experience preferred
