Permanent opportunity for an experienced Technical specialist with 3rd line experience of the Microsoft environment, networks and security. This role is with an international organisation in the Data Centre environment and requires someone onsite in London Victoria (5 days a week). As well as providing 3rd line activity, you will mentor junior team members and engage directly with C-suite management stakeholders and clients.

The client will run a quick 3 stage interview process that can be completed within 1-2 weeks. This will include a short Teams call, one full interview and a psychometric test.

As the Technical Engineer you will:

• be responsible for responding and resolving tasks relating to all levels of IT queries and acting as an escalation route for the IT team for more complex and project related tasks.
• manage and oversee the day to day support element of the Group IT support desk.
• review and escalate requests to suppliers and solution vendors.
• act as a technical reference point, identify opportunities for improvement, propose new technology or working practices to improve the operation of the Technology team and wider company.
• work closely with the Group IT manager for the benefit of the tech environment.
• ensure that reactive and pre-emptive IT support actions are carried out competently, professionally and in a timely manner following the direction of the Group IT Manager.
• mentor and guide less experienced IT support team members.

You will have:

• Microsoft Certified e.g. MCSE
• IT support experience especially within the Microsoft stack domain (MS Azure, O365 Suite of applications, All Microsoft desktop OS, Microsoft Server 2008 and higher, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS DHCP, Networking including VLANs, Wi-Fi technology, Remote connectivity tools)
• excellent communication skills and the ability to support and engage all levels including VIPs and senior management.
• Degree level or relevant experience in IT.
• an excellent level of customer care.
• ability to work onsite full time, Monday to Friday, in Victoria, London
• Experience of Juniper switches & PaloAlto firewalls
• Experience with managing third-party suppliers
• Datacentre experience is a bonus.
